Sesc RJ Flamengo was beaten by Dentil Praia Clube by 3 sets to 1, with partial scores of 23-25, 25-23, 22-25 and 20-25, this Tuesday (18.03), in Uberlândia (MG), in a delayed match of the ninth round of the return leg of the Women's Superliga.
In sixth place with 39 points, coach Bernardinho's team now needs intense support from the fans to seek recovery against Batavo Mackenzie, this Friday (21.03), at Maracanãzinho, and climb the table to ensure a better position in the playoffs. Tickets, at the promotional price of R$ 30, are on sale on the Guichê Web website.
Opposite player Edinara was Sesc RJ Flamengo's top scorer, with 19 hits, followed by middle blocker Lorena and winger Karina, both with 12. Flamengo's serve even managed to create difficulties for the current South American champion, but the excess of errors compromised the Rio de Janeiro team's ambitions.
"We still need to be more consistent. I think we made a lot of mistakes in decisive moments. We repeated some situations from previous matches that shouldn't happen. We've had a very short time between games and we need to turn things around quickly, but we'll work hard because Friday is another tough match," said Lorena.
