Sesc RJ Flamengo was defeated by Sesi Bauru, this Friday (23.11), in the tie-break, with partial scores of 25/22, 15/25, 25/17, 21/25 and 13/15, at Tijuca Tênis Clube, in the match that ended a sequence of clashes against the main opponents of coach Bernardinho's team in the Women's Superliga.

The Rubro-Negro, which reached 17 points and remains in third place with the new points, will now have a three-week break without games. The team returns to action on December 13th at 21:30 pm against Abel Moda Brusque, again in Tijuca.

Unable to count on Helena, who is recovering from a virus, Bernardinho put Karina in the starting lineup and the outside hitter was one of the highlights for Sesc RJ Flamengo, with 20 points, alongside opposite hitter Edinara, the night's top scorer with 24. But the home team was unable to contain their opponent's growth.

"We had a tough run of matches that will serve as a benchmark for the rest of the competition. We know we still need to adjust a lot, and we'll take advantage of these days off to train and try to improve some things. We had some good moments today, but we still weren't able to perform at our best in the end, and Sesi Bauru had its merits. It's a matter of training, and I'm sure we'll come back stronger after this break," analyzed setter Brie.
