Sesc RJ Flamengo concludes its participation in the qualifying phase of the Women's Superliga this Friday (21.03), at 21 pm, against Batavo Mackenzie, at Maracanãzinho, with broadcast on YouTube Vôlei Brasil, seeking victory to try to climb positions and ensure a more favorable crossing in the playoffs. Tickets, with a promotional price of R$ 30, are on sale on the Guichê Web website.
In a tightly contested edition, the final round will decide all the quarterfinal matches. For the red-and-black team, which is in sixth place with 39 points and has already qualified, it needs to secure the three points and hope to defeat Sesi Bauru, fifth, also with 39, and Fluminense, fourth, with 41. Depending on the other results, Sesc RJ Flamengo could still advance into the top four. Mackenzie is in ninth place.
On the court, the players focus on putting on the best performance possible. After two 3-1 away losses against Gerdau Minas and Dentil Praia Clube, Sesc RJ Flamengo is buoyed by the strength of its red-and-black fans to emerge victorious.
"We're coming off two very difficult matches against two title favorites, and we have another tough opponent ahead of us: Mackenzie. This is the Superliga. It's about overcoming fatigue and adversity and maintaining confidence in our work. We know our potential and have every chance of doing better than in our last few matches. We need to be patient, maintain our training pace, and implement the tactical plan we've been developing to overcome this challenge in front of our fans, which has been incredibly important," said libero Laís.
Sesc RJ Flamengo continues to stand out in the Superliga statistics. Setter Brie leads the way in serving numbers, with 21 aces. Middle blocker Lorena is the second-best blocker, with 74 points, and the sixth-most efficient in attack (46,67%). Laís is the second-most efficient receiver (67,81%), with captain Michelle in seventh (63,22%). Opposite player Edinara is the fifth-highest scorer in the competition, with 319 hits.
