Sesc RJ Flamengo traveled to Belo Horizonte aiming to finish the year undefeated in the Women's Superliga and in the overall lead of the first round. Seeking their 11th victory, coach Bernardinho's team faces Batavo Mackenzie this Friday (December 19.12th) at 18:30 PM in Belo Horizonte. VBTV will broadcast the match live.

Flamengo currently leads the standings with 27 points and is aiming for a theoretically more favorable matchup in the quarterfinals of the Brazilian Cup, a competition that brings together the top eight teams from the first round of the Superliga. Mackenzie, on the other hand, is in tenth place, with a chance to finish among the top eight and also qualify.

Sesc RJ Flamengo is coming off a home victory against Renasce Sorocaba in a tie-break, and knows that it needs to play aggressively against any opponent.

"We had an important week without games to help our team recover after a tough run of matches, and now we have another difficult game, away from home, against an opponent who will risk everything, in front of their fans. But I am very happy and confident about our group. We have shown great unity in difficult times, and everyone is prepared to contribute," said libero and captain Laís.

Sesc RJ Flamengo reached the top of the podium in the national competition in the 1997/1998 and 1999/2000 seasons (both in Curitiba), 2005/2006, 2006/2007, 2007/2008, 2008/2009, 2010/2011, 2012/2013, 2013/2014, 2014/2015, 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 (in Rio de Janeiro).

The 2025/2026 Superliga features 12 teams, which will face each other in a home-and-away format. The quarterfinals will feature the top eight teams from the qualifying phase in a best-of-three playoff. The semifinals will also be best-of-three, while the final will be a single-game series.
