Sesc RJ Flamengo is counting on the support of its loyal fans to secure a spot in the Superliga Feminina grand final. This Friday (April 24.04th), coach Bernardinho's team will face Dentil Praia Clube again at 21 pm at Maracanãzinho, in the third and final match of the best-of-three semifinal series. Sportv2 and VBTV will broadcast the game live, and the 10 tickets allocated for sale are already sold out.

The volleyball temple promises a spectacular show. Sesc RJ Flamengo staged a heroic comeback in the second match last Friday (April 17.04th), after trailing 2-0 and then 14-10 in the tie-break. With composure and tactical discipline, the Rio team proved its strength and now only needs one more victory to close out the series. The winner will face either Gerdau Minas or Osasco São Cristóvão Saúde in the final on May 3rd at Ibirapuera, in São Paulo.

"Our mentality is that of someone facing an even greater challenge than the previous game. The most important thing is that we are prepared for everything, because Dentil Praia Clube has already demonstrated its strength in this final stretch. I have great faith in our unity and I am excited to reunite with our fans, who made all the difference in bringing us here," said middle blocker Maša Kirov, chosen as the best player on the court in the last Flamengo victory, with 16 points, including eight blocks, and an 80% success rate in attacks.

Sesc RJ Flamengo has standout individual players in the Superliga statistics. Outside hitter Simone Lee is the competition's top scorer with 502 points, while opposite hitter Tainara is in fourth place with 380. The American is also the second-highest scorer in serving, with 27 aces. In attack, Lorena ranks fifth, with a 50,2% success rate. 

 

Sesc RJ Flamengo reached the top of the podium in the national competition in the 1997/1998 and 1999/2000 seasons (both in Curitiba), 2005/2006, 2006/2007, 2007/2008, 2008/2009, 2010/2011, 2012/2013, 2013/2014, 2014/2015, 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 (in Rio de Janeiro).

The 2025/2026 Superliga began with 12 teams, who faced each other in a round-robin format. The quarterfinals brought together the top eight teams from the qualifying phase in a best-of-three playoff, and Sesc RJ Flamengo advanced by defeating Batavo Mackenzie 2-0. The semifinals are also best-of-three, while the final will be played in a single match.
