Sesc RJ Flamengo will meet the red-black fans again in its first home match in the 2024/2025 Women's Superliga. This Friday (25.10/18), coach Bernardinho's team faces Maringá, at 30:2 pm, at Tijuca Tênis Clube, with broadcast on SporTVXNUMX. Tickets can be purchased through the Guichê Web website.
Very effective in the Rubro-Negro's 3-1 victory over Brasília, away from home, on Monday (21.10), middle blocker Juju believes that the energy from the stands will be a special ingredient. She left the court with eight blocks and 14 in total in the last match.
"We're excited for our home opener and to be able to apply everything we've been training for over the past few days to the match. A strong serve, a good blocking/defensive relationship, and the synergy between the setters and attackers. We hope our fans turn out and help us come away with another victory," said Juju.
Sesc RJ Flamengo sits fourth in the Superliga standings. In addition to the three points earned away from home, the players and coaching staff understand the importance of continuing to improve game after game.
"The victory against Brasília was very important for our team. We were able to play more consistently in the fundamentals, block more, and we're looking to grow as a team as well," Juju added.
Sesc RJ Flamengo reached the top of the podium in the national competition in the 1997/1998 and 1999/2000 seasons (both in Curitiba), 2005/2006, 2006/2007, 2007/2008, 2008/2009, 2010/2011, 2012/2013, 2013/2014, 2014/2015, 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 (in Rio de Janeiro).
The 2024/2025 Superliga brings together 12 teams, which face each other in a home and away match, and the top eight advance to the playoffs.
