Undefeated and eyeing the lead in the Women's Superliga, Sesc RJ Flamengo faces its first challenge outside Rio de Janeiro in the current edition. This Tuesday (November 18.11th), coach Bernardinho's team will play against Sancor Maringá at 21:30 pm, at Chico Neto, in the city of Maringá, Paraná, with live broadcast on SporTV2 and VBTV. 

Sesc RJ Flamengo comes from four 3-0 victories over Paulistano Barueri, Dentil Praia Clube, Tijuca Tênis Clube, and Brasília Vôlei, and is the only team that hasn't lost a set in the Superliga. The Rubro-Negro is third in the standings with 12 points, but has played one less game than its opponents. Sancor Maringá is seventh with six points.

One of Sesc RJ Flamengo's key players is setter Vivian, 26, who has worn the colors of the Paraná team for the past two seasons and knows the opponent's dangers well.

"Playing against Sancor Maringá always requires a lot of attention. They are a team with strong players and, especially at home, always pose difficulties. I have a lot of respect and affection for the project, where I had incredible opportunities that helped me realize my dream of being here today at Sesc RJ Flamengo. I am very happy and, every day, I seek my improvement, surrounded by people and professionals who help me in this process. I am focused on helping the group in this new challenge," said Vivian.

Sesc RJ Flamengo reached the top of the podium in the national competition in the 1997/1998 and 1999/2000 seasons (both in Curitiba), 2005/2006, 2006/2007, 2007/2008, 2008/2009, 2010/2011, 2012/2013, 2013/2014, 2014/2015, 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 (in Rio de Janeiro).

The 2025/2026 Superliga features 12 teams, which will face each other in a home-and-away format. The quarterfinals will feature the top eight teams from the qualifying phase in a best-of-three playoff. The semifinals will also be best-of-three, while the final will be a single-game series.
