Sesc RJ Flamengo faces an important challenge in front of the Flamengo fans this Friday (March 13.03th), against Sesi Bauru, at 21 pm, at Maracanãzinho, for the ninth round of the second leg of the Women's Superliga, with live broadcast on SporTV2 and VBTV. Seeking to recover after three defeats (two in the Superliga and one in the Copa Brasil semi-final), coach Bernardinho's team is betting on team unity to overcome these difficulties. Currently second in the standings with 46 points, Sesc RJ Flamengo aims to close the gap on league leaders Gerdau Minas, who have 50. Sesi Bauru is in fifth place with 38 points. 

"A very striking characteristic of our group is our unity. We came from three defeats and had to deal with some physical problems, but we returned to training every day with our heads held high and wanting to do better in the next game. I think these situations are part of a long season. We are looking for possible adjustments every day and we count on our fans for another great game at home. Each one of us is committed to doing our best so that the machine works at the most important moment of the Superliga," said outside hitter Karina.

Sesc RJ Flamengo has standout individual players in the Superliga statistics. Outside hitter Simone Lee is the competition's top scorer with 369 points, while opposite hitter Tainara is ninth with 263. The American is also the second-highest scorer in serving, with 22 aces. In attack, middle blocker Lorena ranks fifth with a 51,6% success rate.

Sesc RJ Flamengo reached the top of the podium in the national competition in the 1997/1998 and 1999/2000 seasons (both in Curitiba), 2005/2006, 2006/2007, 2007/2008, 2008/2009, 2010/2011, 2012/2013, 2013/2014, 2014/2015, 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 (in Rio de Janeiro).

The 2025/2026 Superliga features 12 teams, which will face each other in a home-and-away format. The quarterfinals will feature the top eight teams from the qualifying phase in a best-of-three playoff. The semifinals will also be best-of-three, while the final will be a single-game series.
