After two weeks of total focus on training, Sesc RJ Flamengo faces a direct confrontation against Sesi Bauru, this Friday (14.02), at 21 pm, at Arena Paulo Skaf, in the interior of São Paulo, with broadcast on SporTV2, for the sixth round of the return leg of the Women's Superliga. In the fight for a place in the G4, coach Bernardinho's team hopes to put in practice its best game to return with three points in the bag.

The red-and-black team is sixth in the standings with 33 points, just three points ahead of their next opponent, who sits in third place. Aware that every detail matters in a championship characterized by close competition, the squad took advantage of the break in the standings to further develop their harmony on the court.  

"This break in games was super important for us to focus on some necessary adjustments. I believe we're more in tune and ready for the different situations we may encounter from now on. We'll have a tough stretch against top-tier teams, title contenders, starting with Sesi Bauru. We can't give anything less than 100%. The Superliga is long, so ups and downs are part of it, but we must always be willing to learn from each match to do better in the next one," said center Juju.

Sesc RJ Flamengo continues to stand out in the Superliga statistics. Setter Brie leads the way in serving numbers, with 18 aces. Middle blockers Lorena and Juju rank second and eighth in blocking, with 61 and 45 points, respectively. Lorena is also the fifth most efficient attacker (46,58%). Libero Laís tops the list of best passers (68,94% efficiency), with captain Michelle in sixth (64,25%). Opposite hitter Edinara is the fifth highest scorer in the competition, with 250 hits. 

Sesc RJ Flamengo reached the top of the podium in the Women's Superliga in the 1997/1998 and 1999/2000 seasons (both in Curitiba), 2005/2006, 2006/2007, 2007/2008, 2008/2009, 2010/2011, 2012/2013, 2013/2014, 2014/2015, 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 (in Rio de Janeiro).

The 2024/2025 Superliga brings together 12 teams, which face each other in a home and away match, and the top eight advance to the playoffs.
