Sesc RJ Flamengo is betting on the successful strategy from its first two matches in the 2025/2026 Women's Superliga to try and maintain its unbeaten record. This Thursday (November 06.11th), coach Bernardinho's team will face Tijuca Tênis Clube at 18:30 PM at Tijuca, with live broadcast on SporTV2 and VBTV, and is relying on its tactical approach to secure another victory.

True to the coach's instructions, the team has won both of its matches so far, in straight sets, against Paulistano Barueri and Dentil Praia Clube. This puts them in fourth place with six points – the only team with a 100% winning record. Tijuca is in 10th place with two points.

"This good moment is the result of our training and the tactical study of marking, which helps a lot. I believe that what has made the difference for our team is precisely understanding and studying each opponent tactically, and being able to put that into practice during the game," explained Karina, Sesc RJ Flamengo's top scorer in blocks in the Superliga, with eight points.

Sesc RJ Flamengo reached the top of the podium in the national competition in the 1997/1998 and 1999/2000 seasons (both in Curitiba), 2005/2006, 2006/2007, 2007/2008, 2008/2009, 2010/2011, 2012/2013, 2013/2014, 2014/2015, 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 (in Rio de Janeiro).

The 2025/2026 Superliga features 12 teams, which will face each other in a home-and-away format. The quarterfinals will feature the top eight teams from the qualifying phase in a best-of-three playoff. The semifinals will also be best-of-three, while the final will be a single-game series.
