Sesc RJ Flamengo will begin its quest for its 13th Women's Superliga title. The biggest national champion, coach Bernardinho's team, will debut against Paulistano Barueri this Monday (October 20.10th) at 18:30 pm at Tijuca Tênis Clube, with live coverage on SporTV2, GE TV, and VBTV. Tickets can be purchased through the Guichê Web website.

Still building to continue competing for all the titles it competes for, the Rubro-Negro team started the season confidently. In September, the team won the Taça Brasil in Londrina, Paraná. In October, Sesc RJ Flamengo won its 20th Campeonato Carioca title.

After a brief celebration, the athletes and coaching staff returned to their full focus on preparing to face the young Barueri team, fresh off a runner-up finish in the Paulista Championship. In a long and challenging competition like the Superliga, everyone knows it's important to strengthen the collective and focus on one opponent at a time.

"We're proving ourselves to be a true team. The definition of a team is precisely a group of people committed to a common goal. That's what we demonstrated in our two victories. So, for the Superliga, which is a long one, we know we'll need everyone on the same page, whether they're on the bench or on the court. The energy of us athletes, the training center, and the other professionals behind the scenes makes all the difference. Paulistano Barueri is a tough opponent, but we'll go out there focused, calm, and aware of our responsibility. I'm very happy with our current form and for helping the team, but I know we still have a long way to go," said outside hitter Helena.

Sesc RJ Flamengo reached the top of the podium in the national competition in the 1997/1998 and 1999/2000 seasons (both in Curitiba), 2005/2006, 2006/2007, 2007/2008, 2008/2009, 2010/2011, 2012/2013, 2013/2014, 2014/2015, 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 (in Rio de Janeiro).

The 2025/2026 Superliga features 12 teams, which will face each other in a home-and-away format. The quarterfinals will feature the top eight teams from the qualifying phase in a best-of-three playoff. The semifinals will also be best-of-three, while the final will be a single-game series.
