The long-awaited moment has arrived for Sesc RJ Flamengo and its red-and-black fans. After more than three months of intense training, coach Bernardinho's team will make its debut in the 2024/2025 season, seeking the National Club Cup title. The first match will take place against Maringá, this Wednesday (September 25.09th), at 19:15 pm, at the Marcelo Mioso gymnasium, in Santo Ângelo (RS), with broadcast on FlaTV.

In preparation for the Campeonato Carioca and the Superliga, the Rubro-Negro intends to use the triangular tournament, which also includes Minas Gerais, as a test for upcoming challenges. Each game in the South is seen as an opportunity for growth and the pursuit of necessary adjustments; after all, the squad boasts seven new faces, in addition to eight remaining from the last Superliga.

"Another season of hard work begins. Our team has undergone many changes, but the spirit remains the same as every year: a lot of sweat, dedication, and dedication to achieve our goals. We hope that, just like in previous seasons, we can help these girls evolve. And that from this, we can become a strong team that can compete against the favorites," said Bernardinho.

For the National Club Cup, Sesc RJ Flamengo will have the return of setter Brie, who joined the squad in recent days after resolving documentation issues and traveled with the group this Tuesday (24.09).

"I'm very happy to have arrived. It took a while, but I'm here, I'm already training, working out, and getting into the team. We had a few days of training together, I know it's going to be a process to be 100%, but there will be no lack of desire and determination for it. We have two games. It will be important to start the season and I hope we give our best on the court," says Brie.

Sesc RJ Flamengo traveled to Rio Grande do Sul with setters Brie and Rose, outside hitters Helena, Michelle, Karina and Mikaela, opposite hitters Edinara and Camila Mesquita, middle blockers Lorena, Juju, Jussara and Adria, and liberos Laís and Victoria.
