Sesc RJ Flamengo is back in Londrina (PR) and in a decisive mood. Coach Bernardinho's team will play the classic against Osasco São Cristóvão Saúde in the semi-final of the Copa Brasil, this Friday (February 27.02th), at 18:30 pm, at the Moringão gymnasium, the venue where Flamengo won the Taça Brasil in September. The match will be broadcast live on SporTV 2 and VBTV.

The Rio de Janeiro team secured a spot among the four semifinalists on January 23rd, after defeating Paulistano Barueri 3-0 at the Tijuca Tennis Club. Currently second in the Women's Superliga, the team has been working hard, focusing on necessary adjustments and the physical recovery of key players such as outside hitter Simone Lee and libero and captain Laís. In the other semifinal, Gerdau Minas and Dentil Praia Clube will face off. The final will take place on Saturday (February 28.02th) at 21 pm, at the same venue.

“We had a very intense and productive week of preparation. We worked hard on both the tactical and mental aspects of our game, and I believe we are ready to show that on the court. A semifinal always brings extra responsibility and pressure for both teams, but we are focused on our side,” analyzed Serbian middle blocker Maša Kirov.

Four-time Copa Brasil champion (2007, 2016, 2017 and 2020), Sesc RJ Flamengo is aiming for its third title of the season, after winning the Taça Brasil and the Campeonato Carioca.

The return to the city in Paraná brings back good memories for the team, who hope to once again count on the energy from the stands, just like in their last victory at Moringão.

“This isn’t our first time here, so it brings back a lot of good memories from the start of the season. I have a very positive impression of Londrina. The city has welcomed us very well, and the atmosphere has been really welcoming and supportive,” Kirov added.

In addition to another trophy in the gallery, the Copa Brasil has strategic importance, as it guarantees a spot in the 2026 Supercopa and the 2027 South American Championship.
