Sesc RJ Flamengo is ready for the start of the Superliga Feminina playoffs. Leading the qualifying phase, coach Bernardinho's team will face Batavo Mackenzie this Tuesday (March 31.03st) at 18:30 PM in Belo Horizonte, in the first match of the best-of-three quarter-final series. The goal is to take the lead to decide the qualification for the semi-finals at home. SporTV2 and VBTV will broadcast live.

With 19 wins in 22 games so far, Sesc RJ Flamengo secured the lead and, consequently, a matchup with the lowest-ranked team among the eight qualified groups. In the first phase, the Rubro-Negro (Flamengo) prevailed over Batavo Mackenzie twice, once by 3 sets to 1 in the capital of Minas Gerais, and most recently in straight sets at the Tijuca Tennis Club. 

Despite the history and the difference between the teams in the standings, the athletes expect a decisive atmosphere. Whoever emerges victorious in the series will face either Dentil Praia Clube or Sesi Bauru in the semifinals.

"When we talk about the playoffs, we're talking about a new championship, with a special emotion. It's been months of preparation to reach our best technical, physical, and mental level as a team. I'm very happy with what we've built so far, and we won't lack motivation to face another challenging stage. We'll start the series against Batavo Mackenzie away from home, and we're fully committed to winning to decide the qualification at our home court," pointed out middle blocker Lorena.

Sesc RJ Flamengo has standout individual players in the Superliga statistics. Outside hitter Simone Lee is the competition's top scorer with 424 points, while opposite hitter Tainara is in seventh place with 317. The American player is also the top scorer in serves, with 26 aces. In attack, Lorena ranks sixth with a 50,2% success rate. 

Sesc RJ Flamengo reached the top of the podium in the national competition in the 1997/1998 and 1999/2000 seasons (both in Curitiba), 2005/2006, 2006/2007, 2007/2008, 2008/2009, 2010/2011, 2012/2013, 2013/2014, 2014/2015, 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 (in Rio de Janeiro).

The 2025/2026 Superliga features 12 teams, which will face each other in a home-and-away format. The quarterfinals will feature the top eight teams from the qualifying phase in a best-of-three playoff. The semifinals will also be best-of-three, while the final will be a single-game series.
