Sesc RJ Flamengo will try to confirm its overall lead in the qualifying phase of the Women's Superliga in front of the Flamengo fans. This Tuesday (March 24.03th), coach Bernardinho's team faces Batavo Mackenzie at 21 pm at the Tijuca Tennis Club, in its last challenge before the playoffs. The match will be broadcast live on SporTV2 and VBTV, and tickets can be purchased through the Guichê Web website.

Flamengo regained first place in the last round and now has 52 points, one more than Gerdau Minas, the second-placed team. The Rio de Janeiro team only needs a victory by any score to maintain its position at the top and thus face the eighth-placed team in the quarterfinals. Currently, that position is held by Batavo Mackenzie, an opponent that is attracting attention due to its growth this season.

"Another battle is coming. There are no easy games in this Superliga. Batavo Mackenzie has improved a lot in the second half of the season, and we know the importance of once again playing high-level volleyball to secure first place and maintain our high confidence. We are very focused on our purpose, and that's what motivates us most every day. I see our group becoming increasingly prepared to deal with adversity and building a spirit of unity," said setter Giovana.

Sesc RJ Flamengo has standout individual players in the Superliga statistics. Outside hitter Simone Lee is the competition's top scorer with 402 points, while opposite hitter Tainara is in ninth place with 297. The American is also the second-highest scorer in serving, with 24 aces. In attack, middle blocker Lorena ranks eighth with a 49,8% success rate. In reception, outside hitter Karina is eighth with 61,5% efficiency.

Sesc RJ Flamengo reached the top of the podium in the national competition in the 1997/1998 and 1999/2000 seasons (both in Curitiba), 2005/2006, 2006/2007, 2007/2008, 2008/2009, 2010/2011, 2012/2013, 2013/2014, 2014/2015, 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 (in Rio de Janeiro).

The 2025/2026 Superliga features 12 teams, which will face each other in a home-and-away format. The quarterfinals will feature the top eight teams from the qualifying phase in a best-of-three playoff. The semifinals will also be best-of-three, while the final will be a single-game series.
