Accustomed to decisive matches, Sesc RJ Flamengo is ready for another one. Only a victory will do for coach Bernardinho's team this Friday (April 12.04), at 18:30 pm, at Maracanãzinho, with live coverage on SporTV 2, in the second leg of the best-of-three semifinal series of the Women's Superliga. Tickets can still be purchased through the Guichê Web website.



Beaten by the Minas Gerais team in the tie-break, in Uberlândia (MG), Sesc RJ Flamengo needs to win to force the third game, on Monday (15.4), at 18:30 pm, at Tijuca Tênis Clube, and advance to the decision against Minas or Osasco.



To achieve this, the Rubro-Negro will count on the return of setter Brie, who has recovered from dengue fever, and the energy of their fans, who have made a difference this season. Furthermore, the team hopes to enter the court with aggressive serving to neutralize the opponent's plays.  



"We're motivated to face a big decision. Praia Clube played well at home and deserved to win the first game, but we know our strength as a group and will give our all to try to even the streak. Playing in a Superliga semifinal is always special, especially knowing we'll have the fans behind us at Maracanãzinho. I believe our serving needs to be more aggressive and we'll need to minimize errors. I'm sure we won't lack for commitment," guarantees middle blocker and captain Juciely.



The teams have met four times this season, with each team winning two. Sesc RJ Flamengo won two matches 3-0 in the Superliga qualifying round, and Praia Clube prevailed 3-0 in the Copa Brasil semifinal and 3-2 in the Superliga semifinal opener.



Sesc RJ Flamengo is the most successful team in the Women's Superliga, with 12 trophies. Under Bernardinho's leadership, the team topped the national competition's podium in the 1997/1998 and 1999/2000 seasons (both in Curitiba), and in the 2005/2006, 2006/2007, 2007/2008, 2008/2009, 2010/2011, 2012/2013, 2013/2014, 2014/2015, 2015/2016, and 2016/2017 seasons (in Rio de Janeiro). The competition features 12 teams, who face each other in a home and away series before the playoffs. The final will take place on April 21st.
