Sesc RJ Flamengo remains undefeated in the Women's Superliga. This Friday (December 12.12th), coach Bernardinho's team showed the strength of its squad to overcome Renasce Sorocaba in a tie-break, with scores of 22-25, 25-18, 24-26, 25-19 and 15-8, at the Tijuca Tennis Club. With its tenth victory in the competition, the Rubro-Negro reached 27 points and maintained its lead.

The match demanded a lot of commitment from the entire team, which needed a boost of energy against the last-placed team in the standings. And the player who symbolized this energy was middle blocker Juju, who came off the bench in the third set, inspired her teammates, and left the court with the VivaVôlei Trophy for best player on the court. 

She scored 11 points, seven from attacks (78% success rate) and four from blocks. The top scorer of the match was outside hitter Karina, with 19 points, followed by American Simone Lee, with 18.

"The first thing I thought when I stepped onto the court was that I had to draw energy from it. When I'm on the bench, I think about that, about being able to come in and help in any way possible. I was very happy to be able to do that today. We, who are on the sidelines, sometimes see something that can help a lot, both in terms of energy and in technical and tactical aspects, like adjusting blocking and defense. I believe I was able to contribute in both ways," Juju exclaimed.

Sesc RJ Flamengo will play its last game of the year next Friday (December 19.12th), at 18:30 pm, against Batavo Mackenzie, in Belo Horizonte.
