Sesc RJ Flamengo overcomes Sesi Bauru in a comeback victory to secure its eighth win in the Superliga.
With a spectacular performance from Simone Lee, Bernardinho's team overcame the São Paulo team in the tie-break and maintained their second-place position in the Superliga.

With a thrilling comeback, Sesc RJ Flamengo once again demonstrated its strength in the Women's Superliga. In a night of highs and lows, coach Bernardinho's team overcame Sesi Vôlei Bauru this Friday (December 05.12th) in a tie-break, with scores of 25-22, 21-25, 22-25, 25-21 and 15-13, at the Arena Paulo Skaf in Bauru (SP), achieving its eighth victory in the competition. With the two points earned, Flamengo reached 22 points and maintained its second-place position, one point behind Gerdau Minas, which has 23.
It was up to outside hitter Simone Lee to lead the offensive actions of Sesc RJ Flamengo and help relieve the pressure on counter-attacks. In another great performance, the American scored 32 points, was the top scorer of the match and took home her fourth VivaVôlei Trophy for best player on the court. Opposite hitter Tainara scored 15.
"All the teams that face us want to give their best against us. So, it's very special when we manage to overcome such a difficult situation together, with great strength. Sesi Vôlei Bauru is an incredible team, which is why it's so great to test ourselves in a match like this one," said Simone Lee.
Sesc RJ Flamengo's next match is next Tuesday (December 09.12th), at 21:30 pm, against Fluminense, at Hebraica.
