Sesc RJ Flamengo is the new leader of the Women's Superliga. This Thursday (November 06.11th), coach Bernardinho's team achieved its third victory, beating Tijuca Tênis Clube 3-0, with sets of 25-21, 25-20 and 26-24, at Tijuca. With this, the Rubro-Negro reached nine points and is the only team without losing a set in the competition. 

After two sets dominated by Sesc RJ Flamengo, Tijuca improved in the third set, leading 20-19. It was then that the competition's most successful team demonstrated its collective strength. With patience and effective distribution from setter Giovana, who was named the best player on the court with the VivaVôlei Trophy, the visitors secured three more points in the standings. Outside hitter Simone Lee was the top scorer with 21 points, followed by opposite hitter Tainara with 17.

"We were very focused. We went into the game with a clear purpose and we stuck to it until the end. Tijuca improved a lot during the match. They dominated the first and second sets, but in the third they came out all guns blazing. It was their only weapon, risking everything. We managed to control the game a bit. We went through some difficult moments, but that's part of our growth and maturity. We always have to maintain our concentration. It's always harder to work after a victory, because it hides a lot. So, we have to keep our feet on the ground, working hard, and this team will only grow," said Giovana.

Sesc RJ Flamengo's next match is on Friday, November 14th, at 18:30 PM, against Brasília Vôlei, again at Tijuca Tênis Clube.

Sesc RJ Flamengo reached the top of the podium in the national competition in the 1997/1998 and 1999/2000 seasons (both in Curitiba), 2005/2006, 2006/2007, 2007/2008, 2008/2009, 2010/2011, 2012/2013, 2013/2014, 2014/2015, 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 (in Rio de Janeiro).

The 2025/2026 Superliga features 12 teams, which will face each other in a home-and-away format. The quarterfinals will feature the top eight teams from the qualifying phase in a best-of-three playoff. The semifinals will also be best-of-three, while the final will be a single-game series.
