Sesc RJ Flamengo continues to improve in the Women's Superliga. In the first classic against Osasco in the 2024/2025 season, coach Bernardinho's team showed its strength and came away with an important victory, this Tuesday (05.11), away from home: 3 sets to 1 (25/19, 25/20, 20/25), in an early match of the seventh round.

With the result, the Red-Blacks reached nine points, jumped up the standings, and now sit in third place, tied with their São Paulo rivals but behind in set difference. Above all, the result demonstrated the group's growth, both technically and tactically.

With an aggressive serve, well-placed blocking, and intense effort from all of their players, Sesc RJ Flamengo neutralized Osasco's strengths. Outside hitter Michelle won the VivaVôlei Trophy for best player on the court and, alongside Helena, was the Rio de Janeiro team's top scorer with 15 points.

"The award could have gone to either team. I was very happy with the victory, especially against one of the title favorites, a team with a large investment. We were free on the court, we handed the responsibility to them, and our game showed. Brie distributed the ball well and made smart plays. Our team doesn't have a single player who can win it alone. We needed the team, and it worked. The serve and block worked, the volume worked better. We're on the rise. We'll be happy with this result, but we know we have to keep working, because the season is long," analyzed Michelle.

Sesc RJ Flamengo returns to the court on Friday (08.11), against Pinheiros, at Tijuca Tênis Clube.
