Sesc RJ Flamengo continues its strong run in the Women's Superliga. In front of 8.273 people at the Maracanãzinho, a record for the 2025/2026 season, coach Bernardinho's team overcame Dentil Praia Clube in a comeback victory, 3 sets to 2, with scores of 23-25, 22-25, 25-22, 25-20 and 16-14, in the second match of the semifinals, forcing a third and final game. The teams will face each other again next Friday (April 24.04th) at 21 pm, once more at the temple of world volleyball, and tickets are already on sale through the Guichê Web website.

With their backs against the wall after losing the first match in Uberlândia (MG), Flamengo proved the strength of hard work and teamwork. It was win or bust, and the home team overcame every adversity. They were down 0-2, and were even behind in the tie-break, when the Minas Gerais team had four match points. With resilience and a high volume of play, Sesc RJ Flamengo reversed the situation. The athletes were in tears at the Maracanãzinho.

"I tried not to think too much about the score deficit, but rather to give my 100% on every point for the team. The desire to win was very high for everyone on the team. It was the game with the biggest audience in my career so far. The support from the fans was incredible and surreal. I can only thank everyone who came to cheer. We have to keep training hard and correcting our mistakes, so we will be prepared for any difficulty that comes our way," said Serbian middle blocker Masa Kirov, who scored 16 points and won the VivaVôlei Trophy for best player on the court.

The multi-champion Bernardinho made spot-on changes, notably bringing in setter Vívian and outside hitter Helena. American outside hitter Simone Lee was the game's top scorer with 21 points, followed by opposite hitter Tainara and Helena, both with 18. Libero and captain Laís also stepped up and commanded the backcourt.

"Going into the game with the score against us is a huge responsibility. But I knew what I needed to do. I train every day for this, so I already had it in mind. I had ups and downs at the beginning, but everything gradually flowed. The group helped each other and we won together. The fans were incredible, our seventh player. Since the Carioca Championship, we have shown that our team is made up of 16 athletes. Now, we will continue working, because on Friday we have another battle," said Helena.
