Sesc RJ Flamengo remains in the sole lead of the Women's Superliga. With the collective strength that is its characteristic, coach Bernardinho's team overcame Dentil Praia Clube by 3 sets to 1, with partial scores of 25-18, 25-21, 21-25 and 25-20, in Uberlândia (MG). The result took the Rubro-Negro to 37 points, five ahead of Gerdau Minas, the second-placed team, which still has a game to play in this round.

After two consistent sets with a high volume of play, Sesc RJ Flamengo faced difficulties receiving the home team's serve. Despite this, the Rio de Janeiro team maintained their fighting spirit in the fourth set and secured the victory. American outside hitter Simone Lee was the top scorer for Flamengo with 19 points, followed by her teammate Karina with 14, and opposite hitter Tainara with 13.

"I'm very happy with what the team showed today, after a defeat. We're on a very good upward trajectory, regardless of the previous result. We were coming off a difficult run and today everyone deserves praise, from the starters to those who came off the bench, like Vivi (Victoria), who contributed to the defense, Gi (Giovana), in distribution, Simone, Karina and everyone else. I'm happy with my performance, I'm gaining confidence and everything is flowing. That's what we need to achieve our goals. It was a balanced game, as we expected, but we came prepared to seek this victory," said Tainara.

Sesc RJ Flamengo returns to the court on Friday (January 23.01rd) at 18:30 pm against Paulistano Barueri, for the quarterfinals of the Copa Brasil, a competition that brings together the top eight teams from the first round of the Superliga.
