Sesc RJ Flamengo achieved its second victory in the Taça Brasil, a quadrangular tournament that serves as preparation for the Campeonato Carioca and the Superliga. This Wednesday (24.09), the red-black team beat the home team Londrina Vôlei by 3 sets to 0, with partial scores of 28-26, 25-13 and 25-13, at the Moringão gym.

Seeking their first title of the 2025/2026 season, Sesc RJ Flamengo had already beaten Sancor Maringá by the same score in their debut and, after this new victory, moved closer to lifting the trophy. In the competition, all teams face off against each other and the team with the best record will be crowned champion. The Rio de Janeiro team concludes their participation against Gerdau Minas, this Thursday (25.09), at 21 pm, at the same location, with broadcast on CazéTV.

Under Helio Griner, who replaced coach Bernardinho, Sesc RJ Flamengo struggled only in the first set, but found their feet. In the second and third sets, Flamengo gave the team from Paraná no chance and managed to use all of their players.

"Today's match was another important step in our growth as a team. It was a great opportunity to improve our communication on the court, our connection with the setters, and to overcome some difficult situations in the first set. Little by little, we managed to assert ourselves. Now, we're going into another tough match against Gerdau Minas. I'm feeling very welcomed and excited here at Sesc RJ Flamengo," said opposite hitter Tainara, the red-and-black team's top scorer with 14 points.
