On a great night, Sesc RJ Flamengo once again demonstrated its strength in the Women's Superliga. This Sunday (January 26.01), the collective effort made the difference in the victory of coach Bernardinho's team over Pinheiros by 3 sets to 0, with partial scores of 25-19, 25-23 and 25-22, at Henrique Villaboim, in São Paulo. With the result, the Rio de Janeiro team recovered in the championship and returned to the G4, now with 33 points.

Tactical application and a smile on their faces were essential ingredients in the result, which gives the squad confidence in the fight for top spots, with their sights set on the playoffs. Also noteworthy was opposite hitter Edinara, the match's top scorer with 17 hits and winner of the VivaVôlei Trophy. Middle blocker Lorena was another standout, with six blocks and 12 total points. Outside hitter Helena came on strong in the second set, replacing captain Michelle, who was experiencing pain in her left foot, and scored nine.

"The word is construction. We were coming off a negative result (against Barueri), but we kept our heads in the right place to seek this super important victory for the rest of the Superliga. We played calmly, happily, and freely, as Bernardo asked. That's our team. That's what makes the difference. He gave us complete confidence to do our part on the court and took the weight of responsibility off us," said Edinara.
