The new court at the Togo Renan Soares – Kanela gymnasium was inaugurated last Saturday (April 12th) to a joyful atmosphere for those practicing the sport. With the presence of Leila and Sandra Pires, Olympic medalists and representatives of Flamengo in beach volleyball, students from the Flamengo Volleyball School played a friendly match against the A! Body Tech team (Barra).

The 50 students from the three teams (two from Flamengo and one from A! Body Tech – Barra) who competed in the friendlies were awarded medals by the beach volleyball muses.

- "The renovation of the court, which was led by the Club's vice-presidents of Works Heritage and Olympic Sports, met a long-standing need and will certainly give new dynamism to Flamengo's volleyball school and teams," said Edson Terra, supervisor of the Schools.

The event was also attended by Vice President of Olympic Sports Patrícia Amorim.
