On Tuesday night (09), Flamengo debuted in the Superliga B against ASCADE, at the Hélio Maurício Gymnasium, in Gávea. In a balanced game, Mais Querido turned the match around and won 3 sets to 2.

The first set was balanced from start to finish. Up to the ten-point mark, the biggest difference had been only two points, with the teams alternating in the lead. Flamengo reached the final stretch with an advantage, 21-20, but ASCADE reacted, tied at 25-25 and closed the set at 27-25.

In the second set, Flamengo changed the rhythm. Dominant from the start, they opened up a 5-2 lead and built the biggest advantage of the match so far: 15-8. Without allowing their opponent to close the gap, they extended it to 22-13. ASCADE still scored two points in a row, but Flamengo regained control and confirmed the victory 25-20, tying the game at 1-1.

The third set was balanced again. After a close start, 9-9, Flamengo struggled with reception errors, and ASCADE opened up a 22-17 lead. Flamengo couldn't react, and the visitors closed out the set 25-18, making it 2-1.

In the fourth set, Flamengo returned with a different attitude. More aggressive and precise in attack, they opened up a 7-3 lead. ASCADE reacted and tied at 17-17, but after the timeout to clean the court, Flamengo regained their momentum, opened up another 20-17 lead and closed out the set 25-22, taking the decision to a tie-break.

In the fifth and final set, Flamengo started strong and opened up a 5-2 lead. ASCADE turned it around to 7-6, but after the change of ends, Flamengo regained control, set the pace, and closed out the set 15-10 — sealing the victory 3 sets to 2.

Flamengo returns to the court next Saturday (13), away from home, against Ceará, at 21 pm.
