Vanguard and tradition - two words that define Clube de Regatas do Flamengo. This Saturday (30), when it takes the field for the 19th round of the Brazilian Championship, the Mais Querido will write another page in its rich history, becoming the first club to reach the mark of 1500 matches played in the national tournament.

The number considers the editions of the "Modern Era" of the Brazilian Championship, which began in 1971. Rubro-Negro holds another very important record: it is the only club to lift at least one trophy in every decade since the beginning of the competition.

The championship has undergone many format changes over its more than 50-year history. As a result, clubs have played varying numbers of matches. Following "Mais Querido" are the two other clubs that have never played in the second division: São Paulo (1.496 matches) and Santos (1.476 matches).

To celebrate this moment, the club has prepared a series of initiatives. The club's official social media channels feature special celebratory content.
