Flamengo opens free use of its brand for fans to produce hygienic masks
An essential item in the fight against the coronavirus, and with huge market demand, it can be produced by individuals and micro-enterprises throughout Brazil.
By Flamengo Communication - inFlamengo, the largest brand in the Brazilian sports market, was approached by several companies to exclusively license protective masks, an essential product in the fight against the coronavirus and in high demand. However, with a view to providing protection and income for its fans, the club chose to release its brand free of charge to any individual or micro-enterprise with annual revenues of up to R$180.

With this initiative, the club aims to support all small entrepreneurs across Brazil who are struggling to generate revenue during this critical economic moment. The strength of the Flamengo brand can help them in this endeavor.
"The fight against COVID-19 demands health care, responsibility, and, above all, solidarity. Flamengo, aware of its role in society, is also part of this fight. We hope that the masks with our brand, made directly by the population, will help many people," said Gustavo Oliveira, Flamengo's vice president of Communications and Marketing.
Flamengo's official branding for masks will be available on the club's website and social media channels. Additionally, the club will share the masks it considers most creative and best utilize the Flamengo brand on its social media profiles.
Just as was done in the production and distribution of alcohol gel, this is another action of the Licensing area of the club's Marketing Department, together with the Vice-Presidency of Social Responsibility.
